Northern Lights JV is growing and is looking for a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor who will develop and support the Business Management System.
The Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Advisor will be part of the HSEQ team.
This position is located in Stavanger.

Your role
- In charge of the development of the HSEQ Business Management System (BMS) for the Operational phase
- Support in the development of the NL JV Business Management System (BMS) in preparation of the Operational phase (document-based and/or process-based Management System), interfaces Management coordination.
- Support the integrated assurance plan establishment and follow-up
- QRM support to other JV disciplines
- Risks Management/Non-Conformance System tool(s) development follow-up
What we need from you?
The Northern Lights team operates with a "one team" and a strong new business mentality with support from shareholders both directly and through various Service Agreements. You will need to be willing and able to challenge conventional thinking and approaches to arrive at innovative, fit for purpose and effective business outcomes.
More specifically:
- Knowledge of Management Systems and their possible declinations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Knowledge of Norwegian regulations (in CCS is a plus)
- Great communication skills and ability to pass messages to different audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work with different stakeholder groups
Qualifications:
You have an University degree in engineering, 3-5 years experience from Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry. You are service minded, have a high level of personality integrity and ethical awareness. We need you to feel comfortable with working towards tight deadlines, the ability to adapt to different environments and having a high level of self-autonomy, initiative and drive.
You have excellent skills in communication, both verbally and in writing, in English and Norwegian.

Northern Lights JV is responsible for developing and operating CO2 transport and storage facilities, open to third parties, as part of Longship, the Norwegian Government’s full-scale carbon capture and storage project. When it starts operations in 2024, it will be the first ever cross-border, open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure network, shipping CO2 to an onshore receiving terminal at Øygarden on the Norwegian west coast, before being transported by pipeline for permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 metres under the seabed.
