Oncoinvent AS is looking for a Scientist in the Production department at the company manufacturing facility in Oslo. The position is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative and dynamic start-up company and participate in the development of novel pharmaceuticals.

What we are looking for is an individual enjoying working hands-on in the production and at the same time is able to work with the relevant documentation work necessary.

The successful candidate will together with the Production team be responsible for Production of raw materials, drug substance (Ra-224) and drug product (Radspherin®).

This position requires hands-on work with radioactive materials. A successful candidate will therefore receive extensive training and is expected to comply with radiation protection and other health and safety procedures during laboratory- and production scale experiments, and GMP production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct production of raw materials, intermediates and finished product, as well as being a hands-on on various types of tasks related to the everyday activities and maintenance of the production facilities.
• Participate in process - and product development tasks as required.
• Participate in qualification activities, including documentation.
• Investigate deviations and closing of the records in a timely fashion.
• Resolve, in collaboration with the QC, QA and production team, out-of-specification or unexpected results and analytical and product problems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production instrumentation as needed.
• Record and report production activities according to prescribed procedures and systems.
• Writing of SOPs and other instructional documents.
• Perform environmental monitoring and participate in cleaning activities.
• Take part in activities in waste handling program.
• The right candidate may also act as a project leader in various internal projects at Oncoinvent.

Qualifications and experience

The holder of the Production Scientist position should have the following documented qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor or master level within analytical chemistry, pharmacy, radiochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent.
• Strong written/oral communication skills.
• Flexible attitude, work independently, proactive, and responsible.
• Structured and with an analytical mindset.
• Ability for problem-solving, troubleshooting and project management is desirable.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

• Norwegian and English language skills.

Location

The holder of this position will be based at Oncoinvent AS, Gullhaugveien 7, 0484 Oslo. The position will report to the Head of Production.
