Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle segment focuses on execution of modifications & maintenance that improve operations and extends life span of energy facilities on- and offshore. The segment is also responsible for electrification projects on existing facilities as well as offshore maintenance for the renewables sector.

Our Structural Design and Analysis department in Trondheim is now looking for a Structural Design and Analysis Engineer.

What will you be doing?

• Structural analysis, structural design, calculations and design reports.
• Checking of other engineers' design, analysis and calculation reports.
• Documentation of strength and design according to governing codes and specifications.
• Participate in studies.
• Ensure that interfaces towards other disciplines are handled in an efficient way.
• Perform offshore and onshore surveys.

We think you should have:

• Higher technical education (MSc or BSc) within relevant area.
• Good Collaboration skills.
• High level experience with relevant analysis tools like Staad, Mathcad, Sesam, etc.
• Experience from Structural steel design including analyses and documentation.
• Experience from modification projects in the offshore industry.
• Be able to participate in studies, write a study report, and bring the study in to execution.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
• Solid command in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
