As our new Senior HW Engineer Industrialization you will be part of a team who are working on world class industrialization of products for high and medium volume manufacturing. We develop custom hardware and software for our production lines.

Developing world-leading ultra-low power DSRC solutions
Q-Free is developing a new generation of world-leading DSRC solutions. This project is instrumental in Q-Free´s vision to be the prime mover in intelligent traffic solutions, facing increased demands on flexibility, speed, and complexity for HW, FW, and SW alike. We are looking for a Senior HW Production Engineer to strengthen our Industrialization team. Your job will be to ensure technical quality at the highest level throughout the different industrialization stages. You will be involved in building the production line for our next generation on board unit tolling solutions in close cooperation with internal resources and external partners.

Our wide array of products is developed in Trondheim in collaboration with our leading international partners, produced in Norway and Singapore, and are used worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Coordination of HW tasks in the team
• Main technical contact for manufacturing partners
• Production line specification, implementation, and maintenance
• Production test specification and development in co-operation with R&D department.
• Day-to-day support for production partners
• Measurement techniques, instrumentation techniques, calibration, RF testing and tuning of production lines
• Maintenance and development of assembly procedures, production flow and documentation
• Maintenance and development of test processes and test equipment for production processes
• Manufacturing logging and data analysis for yield and capacity improvements.
• Improvement work in existing production lines

Required qualifications and skills

• BSc/MSc in Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience within electronic
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Experienced in measurement techniques and continuous improvement

Valued qualifications and skills

• Experience with production testing of HW and industrialization
• Experience with RF communication
• Experience with camera systems
• Experience working with statistical process control systems like WATS or similar
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
