Senior Project Manager

In this role, you will be a part of Ocean Technologies, delivering world class products to our customers. As our Project Manager you will work with deliveries of sonars and sensors for coastal waters within the segments of anti-submarine warfare, maritime mine counter measurements and harbor surveillance.

By joining us, you will belong to a cross functional team with a mix of young and more experienced colleagues. Together we develop and deliver solutions worldwide. This position is key for Kongsbergs world leading products to be integrated on vessels. 

Working closely with sales, supply chain, purchaser, shipping, suppliers, sub vendors, sister offices, yards as well as being the single point of contact for the customer. To succeed it is important to appreciate day-to-day contact with clients and a desire to always learn more. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-driven and have a collaborative personality.

Key accountabilities

• Point of contact toward clients
• Managing the project to meet or exceed company goals
• Organizing, leading, and motivating the project team
• Activity and resource planning, cost estimating and developing the budget
• Analyzing and managing project risk, managing reports and documentation
• Stakeholder management and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Travel is expected: approx. 10-20 days a year

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor or masters degree in engineering
• Experience and track record as Project Manager or other leading function in successfully multi discipline projects
• Experience with Contract Management and EPC contracts
• Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strongworking relationships
• Good communication skills both written and verbal (Norwegian and English)
• Knowledge of our product group with acoustic positioning and communication or hydrography system is an advantage
