Your Role
Kongsberg Digital are hiring Field Service Engineers for its Drilling and Wells division. You will work closely with our software development team, project managers, technical advisors, partners and customers to deliver best-in class solutions for Real Time Drilling operations in multiple locations across the world.
Your main responsibility will be nothing short of extraordinary:
- Deploy and configure our solutions to Azure Cloud.
- Occasional travel to customer locations (i.e. customer offices, land rigs, offshore rigs, etc) to deploy and configure our software solutions.
- Provide consultancy services.
- Give training courses.
- Act as an interface between KDI and the customer.
Ideal experience for the role:
- 2-3 years of experience with IT Support/Network/Windows servers.
- 1-3 years of experience, preferably in the upstream oil & gas industry.
- Experience related to WITSML based applications is an advantage.
- Good general knowledge of hardware, software and IT.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) discipline
- Knowledge and experience related to IT/Networking.
- Knowledge and experience of drilling processes, drilling data and drilling operations.
- IT certifications, preferably Windows Server system administration, Cloud systems (MS Azure), networking.
- Proven technical support experience is an advantage.
- Offshore safety certificates, is an advantage.
- Understanding of software development methodologies is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
