We have an opportunity for a talented Research Engineer or Scientist with experience in liquid electrolytes for Li-ion batteries to join our pioneering R&D team. Working together with various internal and external teams we will encourage you to bring a creative approach to solving challenges from different angles.
The successful Research Engineer/Scientist will become part of a highly collaborative, dedicated, and skilled team, each with their own key competence to learn from. Combined with Morrow’s rapid growth, we can offer a work environment with energy, continued development, and the technologies to build the batteries of the future.
You will be part of the electrolyte & separator team and you will report to the R&D Manager – Electrolytes & Separators. The team is based in the Morrow Research Center (MRC) in Grimstad, near the future Morrow Cell Factory 1 in Arendal.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Design electrolyte formulations to optimize the performance of LNMO//Graphite cells
- Help design formation and cycling procedures to evaluate formulation-performance relationships
- Data analysis to extract useful information to enhance business decision-making
- Collaborate with multiple partners
- Prepare reports addressing critical technical developments, project management, and forward plans
- Generate and organize project presentations and technical data for internal and external reviews
Education & Experience
- Master or PhD degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or similar
- 2+ years of industry or academic experience working with LNMO or developing liquid high-voltage electrolytes
