Head of Business Support (User Enablement)
Will hold a strategically prominent position with responsibility for IT support and operations including site responsibility for our Head Quarters in Lysaker. This involves management of our IT coordinators (at all Kongsberg Digital locations), manage office infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WIFI) and manage local IT projects and ensure they are delivered in line with Enterprise Architecture standards and the Global IT strategy. The position will be part of the IT Management team, and report to VP IT.
Responsibility areas:
- Manage IT Support and operations globally
- Be responsible for data centers (smaller labs etc.)
- Coordinate and plan proactively any maintenance or change in local infrastructure.
- Ensure local IT contracts are optimized (e.g., vendor support)
- Manage assets including stock, e.g., hardware, laptops, mobile phones, video conferencing equipment as part of resilience planning.
- Provide effective cost management of local IT budget(s) and regular service reporting for managed locations.
- Ensure site recovery plans are implemented with a regular assurance program.
- Ensure IT service management procedures (e.g., ITIL) are followed and identify opportunities for improvements.
- Provide communication to the business about IT services and maintain local IT induction and training material.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders in managed locations.
- Act as primary IT interface with local facilities to ensure IT provisioned services (e.g., Conference rooms, Server Rooms) are optimized.
- Attend and contribute to reviews with IT Service Partners, IT teams and Technology vendors.
Your Qualifications:
- Experience of managing teams.
- Adept at ensuring successful project delivery and leveraging technical understanding.
- Possesses the mindset of a project manager, combining technical acumen with user-centric support approaches.
