Project Manager - Group PMO
Would you like to join an awesome group of people, supporting Schibsted’s mission to empower people in their daily lives? Do you have at least 2 years of experience as a project manager? We are now looking for a junior Project Manager to our team, to drive exciting projects at our Oslo office!
As a junior Project Manager in the Schibsted Project Management Office (PMO), you will be responsible for driving projects within Schibsted’s group functions. Your main responsibilities will include planning and driving projects to deliver on business goals, clearly communicating with both team members and stakeholders.
The job is challenging, fun and rewarding, with a variety of challenges and problems to solve. You will learn about - and have the opportunity to work with - various parts of Schibsted, across all of our regions and business areas, driving change across the group working with a lot of different teams and stakeholders. Our project portfolio includes company-specific, regional and global projects, focused on our group functions within Data & Tech, People and Finance.
You will be part of the Schibsted Project Management Office with team members in Sweden, Norway and Poland, consisting of 15 project managers with a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences prior to joining our team, ranging from HR specialists to management consultants and entrepreneurs. We are today a fairly senior team, and look forward to adding a more junior team member to the mix.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Plan and manage projects towards business objectives with the bigger picture in mind. You will develop business cases, project objectives and detailed project plans, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure project performance with a focus on the objectives, keeping track of deliverables, risks, budget forecast and costs and to make sure that we meet expectations. All projects report regularly to the steering committee about project progress, concerns, and recommended solutions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, project teams, internal resources, third parties, and vendors, and to coordinate and communicate well with these parties for great project execution.
- Ensure that project results are stable, maintainable and scalable through good solution architecture, proper testing and early involvement of operations.
- Provide direction, support and bring good energy to the project members and stakeholders.
Valued skills and experiences:
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to provide direction and clarity to collaborate in a structured way when partnering with stakeholders across the Schibsted organisation.
- Being a dedicated team player and problem solver who independently and efficiently solves any issues that arise to move the project forward and to support the project members to succeed.
- A proactive attitude to continuously improve our internal processes, project model and routines.
- A passion for technology, data and people; influencing and leading change through excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Curiosity and openness to taking on new challenges.
Formal requirements:
- 2 years experience from project management or similar roles.
- Business fluent English is a requirement. Additionally, conversational Norwegian or Swedish is preferred.
- A Bachelor degree or similar.
