KONGSBERG is taking a leading role in several upcoming projects within the European Commission European Defence Fund, a technology fund for developing innovative solutions for space-based surveillance and communication.

We are looking for a project manager being part of a team taking the next steps in space-based protection and surveillance systems, working with a major part of European space and defence industry in innovating new technology roadmaps, analyzing user requirements and deriving architecture solutions for future satellite constellations collaboratively generating Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance for Europe as well as providing responsive space capacities. Knowledge within space or defence systems is highly wanted, but the position also gives exciting opportunities for candidates with the right backgrounds to gain valuable experience within the field of space and surveillance in one of Norways largest space companies.

The Space and Surveillance division at Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has more than 30 years of experience within the space business and delivers a broad spectrum of equipment, systems and services related to space and maritime surveillance customers in more than 40 countries.

• Experience from project management
• Bachelor or masters degree in engineering. Other relevant studies, courses or experience can weigh up for lack of formal education
• Any technical background or skills will be considered positive
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage (INFOR LN)
• Experience from working directly with customers
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
