We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Workshop Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our workshop facilities.

Reporting to: Operation & Workshop Manager

Duties and responsibilities

Day-to-day tasks will involve:

• Conducting routine maintenance and overhaul on a variety of equipment, and tools in our workshop.
• Diagnosing technical issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of workshop equipment.
• Assisting with the installation, set-up, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
• Conducting inspections and tests on equipment to identify and resolve any potential malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.
• Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and protocols to create a secure working environment.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in workshop technology and maintenance techniques.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Workshop Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficient knowledge of workshop machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and provide clear instructions.
• Adherence to safety protocols and a strong sense of responsibility towards maintaining a safe working environment.
