Business Development Manager - Well Completion
Welltec is actively recruiting a Business Development Manager(BDM) in Stavanger, Norway.
We are looking for a strong candidate who has wide experience with offshore operations, preferably within the area of completions. The candidate is a self-driven and ambitious person who is technically well-founded and who possesses the ability to work in a team.
Main responsibility will be to follow up on dedicated clients, deliver revenue targets, and to identify new business opportunities for our portfolio of completion services.
The right candidate must demonstrate ownership to client focus and play a fundamental role in developing future growth, building and maintaining client relationships, identifying qualified opportunities and working with the key disciplines to secure agreed, targeted results. Experience within Well Completion market is essential and desired for the position.
In this role, it is important to be pro-active, positive and demonstrate a willingness to contribute to cross discipline market initiatives.
Main tasks:
- Act as a local representative for Welltec®, taking care of client relations and follow-up sales and marketing for lower completions.
- Ensure a good working relationship with internal and external business functions
- Understand budgetary expectations as required for the role
- Continually feed the opportunity pipeline with qualified business opportunities
- Successfully plan and prepare for sales meetings by means of effective information, customer profiling and action plans
- Plan objectives in line with Business Unit priorities, and strategic account management
- Undertake client visits to promote our range of products and services, ensuring a clear business plan is in place prior to all visits
- Follow up on sales enquiries; process customer feedback and provide further information to Client Involvement in all marketing activities, including exhibitions, advertising, editorial and press releases as required
- Liaise with D&E department with project scheduling as required
- Be a leading contributor to the development of business strategy and introduction of new products/services
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Sales Director as required
The candidate
The ideal candidate has wide experience with offshore operations, within the area of Lower Completions, Open Hole Packers and Well Integrity. We are looking for a self-driven and ambitious person who is technically well-founded and who possesses the ability to work in a team but has the determination to close an opportunity under their own initiative as well as to find and develop opportunities
Qualifications
- Engineering/Technical/Business degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience within sales within the Oil & Gas business is essential.
- Experience of working in a targeted environment
- Experience with completion/Intervention/drilling equipment
Skills
- Commercial mind-set
- Extensive knowledge of the Norwegian market
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Both Norwegian and English)
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
