The Role

In a dynamic context, reMarkable needs to find the right balance between control and speed in achieving its ambitious goals. We are hiring a Senior Financial Controller to contribute to best practices for analysis and reporting, internal controls and process improvement, and financial controlling in a rapidly changing environment. As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be given significant responsibility and play an important role in the team-


Key responsibilities


  • Revenue recognition and reconciliations: Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure proper recognition of revenues in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee the reconciliation process for revenue and intangible assets, ensuring

    that all reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Revenue Analysis: Analyze revenue trends, variances, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and provide insights to management.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting (such as the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports) of revenues and related balance sheet accounts, in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Implement and maintain effective internal controls over revenue recognition processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes staying updated with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices to ensure compliance and mitigate any potential risks.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining revenue-related processes, enhancing efficiency, and implementing best practices to optimize revenue generation and reporting.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of experience in Financial Controlling.
  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Solid background in accounting and reporting processes, with a track record of providing finance-related advice and operational support to large and diverse programs.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and mastery of MS Excel and Google Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • It is advantageous if you have a background in audit or consultancy from top-tier audit/consulting firms.
  • It is advantageous if you have experience in a high-growth company, tech environment (R&Dprojects), and/or large companies.
