As part of our team, you will:

• Take part in ongoing research activities, and lead research within important topics.
• Work together with students and researchers from academia to solve Telenor business problems.
• Publish research papers and attend conferences to share and learn.
• Influence the future of Telenor through presenting implications of research results to top management.
• Monitor technology trends to prepare Telenor for what is next.
• Contribute to our collaborative culture.

Qualifications: 

• A PhD in Computer Science or quantitative scientific fields, preferably with experience in AI/ML.
• Excellent analytical skills with capability to publish academic papers in highly ranked academic venues.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++ or similar.
• Capability to produce well-organized, readable and documented code which enables effective academic and business collaboration.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable skills:

• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and their implementation using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
• Comfortable with the mathematics of Machine Learning – you will need to tweak your own machine learning algorithms.
• Familiarity with the workflow and iterative processes of building effective machine learning systems.
• An interest in communications technology and the telecoms industry.
