As part of our team, you will:

• Take part in ongoing research activities, and lead research within important topics.
• Work together with students and researchers from academia to solve Telenor business problems.
• Publish research papers and attend conferences to share and learn.
• Influence the future of Telenor through presenting implications of research results to top management.
• Monitor technology trends to prepare Telenor for what is next.

Qualifications: 

• A PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or any related field
• Excellent analytical skills with capability to publish academic papers in highly ranked academic venues.
• Experience with quantitative analysis and comfortable in programming in Python, R or similar.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to present research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable skills:

• Passionate about solving real-world business problems using data and quantitative methods, in tight collaboration with colleagues across Telenor’s business units.
• Familiarity with the workflow and iterative processes of building effective statistical models.
• An interest in communications technology and the telecoms industry.
