As a developer at KSAT, you will work alongside teams of experts to create and optimize ground station solutions and earth observation services (such as environmental monitoring and vessel detection). You will have the opportunity to design and implement software solutions that optimize our central orchestration planning, customer-facing APIs, internal and external web-applications, and interface with complex hardware systems while making use of the latest advancements in cloud hosting, machine learning, automation etc.

Our ideal candidates will have

• A passion for space and satellite technology
• At least 3 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, Kotlin, Rust, ..)
• Experience with REST-based APIs or front-end applications
• Experience with Public cloud hosting (Azure, AWS, ..)
• Experience with use of GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment

Additional qualifications that would make you stand out

• Comprehensive experience with cloud computing and containerization (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, ..)
• Familiarity with satellite ground stations and satellite communication protocols
• Strong background with front-end applications or REST back-ends
• Experience with agile development methodologies

Work location

The primary workplace for the position is in Tromsø, Norway, though other locations may be considered.

KSAT see the importance of ensure diversity in the company by taking gender, age and cultural background into account during recruitment.

As a software developer you must be fit for the position, meet the conditions for Norwegian security clearance and be able to be authorized and suitable for the position. Final candidates will have to complete a background check of Semac.
