We are now looking for a Sustainable Impact Manager who will play an important role in ensuring reMarkable to succeed with its ambitious goals related to sustainability. Are you ready to join the journey of Norway's most innovative growth company?


About the role


As the Sustainable Impact Manager you will plan an instrumental role in helping reMarkable achieve its sustainability ambitious targets. You will be responsible for driving the company’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) related activities and be responsible for sustainability data, including reporting. You will have the opportunity to shape our work with these key areas and work with our entire organization and external stakeholders to maximize our positive impacts and minimize our negatives. Succeeding in this role means not only improving our company, but also inspiring the electronic consumer goods industry to improve within sustainability.


We are still just at the beginning of our sustainability journey and as we want to be data-driven in the area, this role is key for our success. This is why we need someone with experience on GHG, sustainability data and sustainability reporting, someone who is ambitious and not afraid to challenge status quo, whilst also has the drive to succeed on a scale few others have done before us!


As the Sustainable Impact Manager you can expect to be a central part of the sustainability team in reMarkable, responsible for one of the company’s top corporate goals. You will be working with numerous stakeholders, both internal and external - and can expect to develop procedures and structures impacting all areas of reMarkable and our extended value chain. You will benefit from being supported by a driven organization with large ambitions, and will be expected to collaborate with ambitious cross-functional teams on a daily basis in order to reach our goals



Further tasks and responsibilities


  • Responsibility for driving all GHG related activities, including:
    • GHG mapping of existing products and organization
    • Defining GHG reduction targets
    • Identifying opportunities to achieve the GHG reduction targets
    • Executing on GHG reduction actions identified

  • Responsibility for driving sustainability reporting, including:
    • Collecting sustainability data and conducting
    • Quality Assurance Developing structures and procedures for internal control of sustainability data
    • Producing sustainability reporting in accordance with relevant reporting standards, stakeholder expectations and legal obligations
    • Developing structures and procedures for data driven approach to sustainability, and implementing these
    • Supporting data driven GHG analysis for various decision making processes across reMarkable
    • Collecting data from suppliers, internally and other stakeholders
    • Following up on progress on selected KPIs


Who are you?


You are a sustainability professional with experience from GHG strategies, implementation and data collection. You understand why high quality data is key to succeed with sustainability, and you have experience in assessing the quality of sustainability in accordance with given standards. You see the link between sustainability data and sustainable impact. Also, you like a high pace, a lot of responsibility, and not least a culture of change that characterizes everyday life. These things should be something that tempt you more than they scare.


We think that a successful applicant have experience with GHG and sustainability data, and maybe even within consumer electronics? You have a demonstrated ability to manage and impact stakeholders on all levels. A successful candidate is used to navigating organizational context to set clear targets, and excels at navigating and inspiring teams and partners on a global scale to reach them. Some flexibility in terms of travel and working hours in order to achieve this will be required.


The role will be adapted depending on the successful candidate together with the capabilities in the sustainability team.


Qualifications & Experience


  • 5 years of experience from sustainability. It is beneficial if you have experience from working with both GHG and sustainability data
  • Experience within project management, including leading projects with multiple stakeholders
  • 3+ years of relevant higher education
  • Ability to perform the job independently and with impact, but excel when cooperating with specialized resources along with external partners
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluent in English - written and verbal
  • Used to working with data, strong analytical skills

It is also an advantage if you have


  • Experience in sustainability assurance

    Good knowledge of sustainability reporting standards
  • Experience in Life Cycle Analysis
  • Experience in setting GHG reduction targets
  • A commercial mindset to sustainability
  • Comfortable with solving ambiguous or semi-complex problems
  • Ability and willingness to handle operational tasks as well as strategic to help our team succeed together
  • Personal drive and initiative, but also a great team player
