Quality Coordinator

Seagems Norway AS is a producer of marine flavourings for the global food industry. Our raw materials are made from side streams from the seafood industry, and are exclusively for human consumption.

With us, you will be part of a forward-looking and fast growing company with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, located on Ellingsøy about 10 km from Ålesund city centre. We are 22 employees with more than 100 years of experience, who work together every day to provide our global customers with premium products and service. We have a good working environment, with a flat structure where all indivuduals of the organization are equal and equally important. As our new Quality Coordinator, you will be an important link between activities in the company related to production, customers and suppliers. Your main areas of responsability will be to maintain, develop, and optimize our quality systems. You will report to our Quality Manager.

In collaboration with our Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Implementation of regulatory requirements (BRCGS, Mattilsynet etc)
• Develop the company’s quality management system
• Assist continuous improvement work, especially within food safety and product quality
• Be part of the site HACCP & TACCP team and contribute to updating the HACCP and TACCP plan
• Follow up on suppliers as if required
• Training of employees regarding quality/production routines/CCP/hygiene
• Communicate customers’ questions relating to quality, food safety, and legislation, as well as completing questionnaires from customers
• Superb attention to details and an innate ability to identify quality defects.
• Be involved in preparation, implementation and follow-up work related to 3rd party audits
• Co-ordinate non- conformances complaint data and communicate with factory Technical teams for RCA investigation

Qualifications:

• At least a bachelor’s degree, and minimum three years of experience from the food industry
• Good communication skills in both Norwegian and English 
• Familiar with BRCGS standards, or any GFSI standards (not a must)

-       Good collaboration skills

-       Systematic and thorough approach in day-to-day quality work

-       A strong desire to learn and adopt new skills

-       Fluent in Microsoft Office skills
