About the role

As an SAP ABAP BTP consultant you will be responsible for supporting our SAP S/4 HANA public cloud ecosystem. Your main responsibility will be to be a part of the IT Systems SAP team and work closely with our SAP System Manager defining and setting up SAP S/4 HANA platform to meet reMarkables business needs. In addition you will have a central role in the adoption work and assisting our users. You will also be responsible for keeping the platform in a healthy state. You will have a unique opportunity to be part of our new IT team to establish and maintain the solutions from one of the world’s leading CRM platforms. At reMarkable our SAP solutions will evolve over time around our S/4 HANA public cloud instance.

In 2023 reMarkable will be on a short list of companies in Norway using S/4HANA public cloud.

Main Areas of Responsibility are:

  Complex ABAP programming, testing and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules.

  
  
• 
  

  Understand the requirements from provided functional designs and transform these requirements into the technical designs using best practices.

  
  
• 
  

  Assist on establishing best practices for testing, deployment and change control.

  
  
• 
  

  Stay up to date on SAP public cloud technologies and trends to keep reMarkables SAP S/4 HANA instance maintained and up to date.

  
  
• 
  

  Advocate for inclusion within the architecture and technology stack when it makes sense.

  
  
• 
  

  Collaborate with the team for code reviews and unit testing.

  
  
• 
  

  Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.

  Participate in the process of development from requirement analysis to deployment.

  Monitor the health state of the SAP environments.

  
  

Who are you?

• You have 5+ years work experience, including experience with SAP development
• You have a bachelor’s degree or similar. A Master’s degree is a strong advantage.
• You have relevant SAP certification.
• You have awareness and/or experience with ABAP.
• Experience or training in SAP S/4 HANA public cloud is a strong advantage.
• You are fluent in English

Experience or knowledge in the following areas are desirable.

• ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), RAP Data Modeling and Behaviour, CDS Views, Draft Enablement , Web API, NetWeaver Gateway, SAP UI5, SAP Fiori, JavaScript, UML Concepts.
• SAPUI5 Freestyle SAPUI5/ Fiori Elements and FIORI APPS extension/configurations, Web IDE / Eclipse tool to develop Fiori applications, SAP BAS (Business Application Studio)/VS Code to develop Fiori applications, JavaScript/TypeScript /jQuery to write functions.
• Good understanding of connectivity between BTP and S4 system Cloud (Destination service/Connectivity Service/Cloud Connector)
• Experience in writing scalable SQL
• Knowledge/Experience in OData / Rest protocols, Developing HANA OData Services, XSJS.
• Knowledge in Change and Transport system (CTS) and release activities for On-prem/Cloud applications.
