Their cutting-edge carbon capture technology is a critical component of this transition, and they are expanding their team with a Head of Engineering to meet the growing demand for their unique solutions! 

Responsibilities  
As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the delivery of all engineering activities within the company as well as strategic planning of the development of the company’s engineering competence. You will foster the development of the next generation of engineers, enabling a motivated and competent delivery of carbon capture solutions within an industry of increasing global importance. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.  

Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Manage all engineering activities, ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental requirements, specifications, and budget 

• Enforce quality control and design risk evaluation 

• Develop the engineering team's strategy, including short-, medium-, and long-term goals, and manage personnel, appraisals, and training 

• Allocate resources and schedule projects based on ongoing and future demands 

• Guide technical deliveries, in the context of project deliverables, as well as in the technology development 

• Formulate design procedures and ensure adherence to the procedures in design activities. 

• Lead recruitment of engineering resources including job descriptions, candidate selection and interviews. 

• Be an active member of the engineering team, and take on sales, tendering, or project management tasks as needed 
   

Requirements and qualifications   
We are looking for a candidate with a BSc or MSc in an Engineering discipline. To succeed in the role, we see that you have at least ten years of industry experience and at least five years in leadership positions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CCS projects.  

Additionally, you should be fluent in English, both oral and written, and possess strong technical and analytical skills as well as commercial awareness. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize critical tasks, streamline deliveries and manage workload from different projects.
