Social Media Specialist at Viking Outdoor Footwear AS

Are you passionate about the outdoors and have exceptional social media skills? We are looking for a talented Social Media Specialist to join our team.

In Viking you will play a central role in the further development of the Viking brand and engage and encourage our community to explore the outdoors.

Your responsibilities

• Create, curate and share engaging content (text, images and videos) that creates connections and encourages community engagement.
• Plan and execute social media campaigns in sync with product launches, events and other relevant marketing activities.
• Ensures a consistent brand tone of voice and visual identity across all social media platforms, reflecting Viking brand identity.
• Collaborate with ambassadors and content creators to develop captivating content.
• Collaborate with PR agencies on influencer collaborations and events.
• Develop a strong online community through active engagement, responses to comments, taking part in conversations, promoting user-generated content and sharing stories.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media platforms.
• Embrace a test-and-learn approach, analyzing content performance and adjusting strategies accordingly.

Your qualifications

• Proven experience with social media, preferably from the lifestyle industry.
• A creative thinker with the ability to create content that captures attention and stands out.
• Have a keen eye for visual content and a good aesthetic sense.
• Good familiarity with relevant software / Adobe Suite.
• Commercial mindset and a good understanding of branding and marketing principles.
• Proven experience in building social media, preferably from the lifestyle industry.
• Bachelor’s or similar relevant degree.
• Proficient in professional English and other Scandinavian language.
