Shop Technician - Workshop and Field

Shop Technician

Due to increased activity we are looking for a Shop Technician to join our Workshop and Field Services team in Stavanger. The Shop Technician will work in the workshop, and travel on field operations in Norway and abroad when required. The position is part of a vibrant, energetic and positive working environment, in a multinational company with mobilization of personnel and equipment to operations all over the world.

Position description:

·        Participate in fabrication and testing of mechanical/hydraulic/electrical equipment

·        Assemble and test mechanical/hydraulic/electrical equipment

·        Conduct function testing and fault-finding of mechanical/hydraulic/electrical equipment

·        Prepare mechanical/hydraulic/electrical equipment to be sent onsite based on project specifications

·        Maintain and preserve rental/service equipment and other equipment for storage

·        Participate actively in quality improvement and quality assurance,

·        When required, assist the Engineering departments during planning, preparation, execution and close out of projects

·        High focus on housekeeping

·        Travel on operations when required

Qualification requirements:

·        Trade certificate within electronics, mechanical or automation

·        Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

·        Ability to work in an international environment

·        Ability to work precisely and independently

·        Good language skills in English, oral and written

·        Proficient IT skills

The position is based in Stavanger and reporting to Supervisor Workshop.
