Job Description

Business Area Nordics is responsible for providing clean energy to Statkraft’s Nordic markets. Statkraft is currently Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy based on a large fleet of operating assets across multiple technologies. In addition, we have high growth ambitions in renewable development within hydropower, onshore wind, solar, batteries and offshore wind.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Advisor. The position will be part of the Finance team in Business Area Nordics and will act as senior advisor in the business area within financial reporting and IFRS.  The purpose of the role is to provide IFRS accounting assessments and relevant analyses of value drivers influence on financial performance by combining knowledge of the business with financial and analytical skills.

Your role:

• Act as senior advisor in the business area within financial reporting and IFRS accounting
• Actively contributing with relevant analyses of value drivers and drivers’ influence on financial performance
• Implementation support and reporting of sustainability for the business area Nordics
• Reporting, control and analytical review of IFRS figures to the Group
• Provide IFRS accounting assessment related to transactions, projects and energy contracts within the business area
• Follow up on accounting issues such as impairments and provisions
• Drive process improvement and automatisation

Qualifications

Your profile:

• Relevant university degree in finance/audit
• At least five years relevant experience
• High competence in IFRS
• Interested in the hydro power industry and have a sound business understanding and curiosity
• Proactively taking initiatives for analyses and improvements
• Good understanding and interest in digitalization
• Analytical, accurate and structured
• Very good communication skills in English and Norwegian
