Our department, Piping & Layout in Sandnessjøen, is now looking for Piping & Layout Engineers to be a part of our team to strengthen tomorrows industry and future growth.

What will you be doing?

The Department for Piping and Layout is looking for engineers in the following diciplines:

• Layout coordination: multi-discipline layout in larger projects, lead design reviews with verification of solutions, etc.
• Piping Design: Design of pipe systems using a 3D model, offshore surveys, preparation of substrates for prefab and installation, field engineering tasks, studies, estimation, etc.
• Pipe support design: Design of pipe supports using 3D model, 2D drawing production, strength calculation, offshore inspection, preparation of substrate for prefab and installation, field engineering tasks, studies, estimation, etc.
• Pipe stress: analyze pipe stress on critical lines with CAESAR II, calculate loads for pipe supports, production of stress isometric drawings, strength calculation of flanges, field engineering tasks, estimation, etc.
• Piping and valve specifications: valve selection, preparing requirements specification, checking specifications and technical documentation, follow-up with suppliers etc.

• Higher technical education (MSc or BSc) within relevant area.
• Experience from modification projects in the offshore industry.
• Good knowledge of E3D, general computer technology and experience from piping or pipe support design.
• Experience in pipe stress analyzing.
• Experience with the use of CAESAR II.
• Experience from performing site-surveys and to having necessary certificates.
• Knowledge to governing regulations and standards; ASME, NORSOK etc.
• Experience with- and detailed knowledge of piping valves.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications used in the North sea.
• Good understanding of ASME B31.3.
• Experienced in use of EN 13480, Pressure Equipment Directive and knowledge of EN 13445.
• Solid command of Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
