Golar LNG is looking for an Electro and Automation Engineer to join the team

As an Electro and Automation Engineer, you will have a vital role of providing support to the FLNG Operations, by offering expertise in electrical and automation's systems along every step of the journey – from project to fully operational. The position will be part of the FLNG Technical Support Team, handling all engineering needs. The position is based in Oslo, Norway, but requires a willingness to travel since our sites and FLNG’s are located around the globe.

As part of the job, you will:

·      Take an active role in shaping and development of our Electrical and automation strategy

·      Support operations in daily maintenance to planning of larger turnaround maintenance

·      Lead projects and proposals to optimize the performance, maintenance, and operations of electrical and automation systems

·      Provide expert support to the FLNG construction, Field engineering and Pre-commissioning/Commissioning/Start-up

·      Serve as a reliable source of technical knowledge and expertise

·      Support the Emergency Response Team in Golar

Qualifications:

While there are specific qualifications that we prioritize, it’s not required for a candidate to possess all of them to be considered 

·      Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering, or equivalent

·      The ideal candidate should have experience from the Oil & Gas or Maritime industry

·      Professional fluency in both spoken and written English

·      Blend of operational experience from gas or chemical tankers, FPSO, in addition to expertise related to the execution of offshore projects

·      Experience with high-voltage (HV) switchgear installation and proficiency with Power Management Systems (PMS) or Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS)

·      Knowledge of OT security is an advantage

·      Certificate of apprenticeship is an advantage
