Sustainability & Environmental Specialist

As Sustainability & Environmental Specialist, you will define best practices and establish a standardized understanding of how we work with sustainability in Rosenberg. You will ensure compliance in all our projects across the company and alignment with Worley Group. Further on, you will contribute to strategic initiatives across our business units and play a key role in our international Sustainability organization and professional network. 

As the Sustainability & Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for Sustainability and Environmental Management System and lead the identification of improvement areas within our projects, production, and operations.

You need to be a positive team builder who wants to achieve good results through collaboration within the team, across the company, and with our customers.
The role will report to the Safety & Sustainability Director in Rosenberg and will work closely with Rosenberg’s top management team and the project management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Sustainability and Environmental in Rosenberg, in accordance with market needs and Rosenberg’s business objectives (strategy and plans) aligned with Worley Group
  
• Lead and coordinate the Sustainability organization and initiatives across the company
  
• Prioritize and support new and ongoing R&D initiatives
  
• Define best practices for working with sustainability and environment
  
• Define and implement necessary competence development initiatives within sustainability.
  
• Promote Rosenberg's work in sustainability and environment, support departments and branding initiatives
  
• Responsible for update and maintenance of Rosenberg Worley’s Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register

Relevant experiences and qualifications would be

• Higher education within a relevant discipline
  
• Experience working professionally with sustainability and environmental is preferable, but newly graduates within relevant disciplines will be considered
  
• Good change management skills with a focus on how to apply sustainability to projects
  
• Good understanding of working with design projects during all project phases, from conceptual design to detailed design, for contractors or as a client's consultant, where sustainability has been a key factor
