Sustainability Coordinator

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sustainability Coordinator to join our team and drive our sustainability initiatives forward. The Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sustainability programs and projects within the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to promote environmental, social, and economic sustainability, ensuring alignment with our company’s values and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability strategies and goals aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
• Program Implementation: Oversee the implementation of sustainability programs, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and responsible sourcing. Monitor progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, and community partners, to promote sustainability awareness and initiatives. Foster positive relationships and encourage participation in sustainability programs.
• Compliance and Reporting: Stay up-to-date with environmental regulations and industry standards. Ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Prepare and submit sustainability reports, ensuring transparency and accuracy of data.
• Educational Initiatives: Develop and deliver educational and training programs to raise awareness about sustainability issues among employees and stakeholders. Encourage behavior change and promote a culture of sustainability within the organization.
• Innovation and Research: Research and identify innovative sustainability practices, technologies, and initiatives. Recommend and implement new approaches to enhance the company's sustainability efforts.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers, partners, and industry organizations to promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain. Seek opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that support sustainability goals.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to sustainability initiatives. Use data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of programs, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for future initiatives.
• Budget Management: Manage budgets related to sustainability programs and projects. Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective implementation of initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in sustainability-related roles is preferred, graduates will be considered
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability best practices, and industry trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society.
