We are now seeking a high calibre candidate who would like to contribute to fill an Environmental Specialist position at our service office in Slependen.
As an Environmental Specialist for Varner, you will be based in the Varner service office in Slependen. This role is responsible to assist the Global Environmental Manager in the implementation of Varner Environmental work, as well as communication and training. The role requires a valid work permit in Norway.

You will enjoy doing the following:

• Lead environmental activities with external brand suppliers and indirect spend suppliers.
• Support various sustainability reporting related activities
• Be a core team member for verification of sustainability related reporting
• Update and maintain information about environmental sustainability and climate activities in Varner brand websites
• Develop and publish content on environmental activities for store employees and in social media
• Collect data related to climate reporting
• Provide environmental onboarding to new employees in the Varner service office
• Be the main contact person to coordinate queries from customers or interested parties on environmental sustainability and climate action

You preferably have a background from and knowledge of:

• Relevant experience in environmental sustainability preferably from the fashion industry
• Education in environmental studies, climate, or textiles
• Familiar with available tools and initiatives related to environmental sustainability
• Experience in training and/or social media communication is a plus
• Aware of environmental laws and regulations in Scandinavia
• Able to effectively engage a diverse range of stakeholders
• Excellent skills in written and spoken English and preferably in one Scandinavian language as well.
