Team Leader Production

FREYR Battery is on a mission to deliver the world`s most cost effective, efficient and environmentally friendly batteries to accelerate the decarbonization of all transportation and energy systems.

We have now successfully recruited the first team and are now hiring people for our next CQP team who want to help run the first battery cell factories in Norway. We plan to build 43GWh capacity over the next 4 years and take the global no.1 positions in both cost and CO2 footprint. 

We are looking for a Team Leader to lead a production team across all processes in our factories in Mo i Rana. Your team will consist of a variety of Process-, Automation-, Electrical- & Mechanical engineers. This position will report to the Vice President of the factory.

As a team leader in FREYR, we are looking for you who master's degree in industry / technical area. We want you who have documented experience from leading technical teams and who have experience from high-performance production processes and are always looking for good and different solutions to problems. Battery competence is independently a great advantage, but if you have the right academic background combined with passion and a good value base, we can give you the training required. At FREYR, we value good and clear communication, and since we are several different nationalities, you must have good English skills, both written and oral.

Your workday will consist of building and managing high-performance production teams so that they achieve high OEE, high quality and high satisfaction among employees and reach productivity goals. A key part of your tasks will be to have a key role in onboarding, training and continuous development of each individual member of the team. You will ensure that the team follows SOPs, WI´s and other procedures related to production, maintenance and testing, as well as implementing and monitoring all aspects of our OE model. It is also important that you lead as a role model through your commitment to product quality and compliance with customer-specific requirements, including IATF standards.

You will be part of a team with broad expertise in various fields where you work towards achieving various production, safety and quality goals and undergo improvement processes so that together you can ensure optimal operation.

This position starts working at our pilot factory (Customer Qualification Plant "CQP"), but will be transferred later on to our Giga factory (Giga Arctic) where operations will be 24/7, 365.
