Our Engineering Department in Fornebu, Norway is now looking for a Senior Project Planner.

Engineering is executing major projects across the globe in both oil and gas and renewables sector.  We are specialists in managing large projects from feasibility studies and conceptual engineering, through FEED and detailed engineering.This includes Norway’s ground-breaking Brevik carbon capture project, as well as delivering engineering and design for Northern Lights, the world’s first CO? storage facility on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Furthermore, we are investigating the design and delivery of future hydrogen and ammonia projects.

As part of a strategic alliance, we are also working on a large digitalization project as part of the development of the Yggdrasil (formerly NOAKA) oil and gas field offshore Norway, whilst pioneering new digital solutions to make operations safer and more efficient.

Joining us will give you an excellent opportunity to be involved in the early stage of our new and existing energy projects and to develop your skills within project planning. 

What will you be doing?

• Taking clear ownership of planning activities delegated by the Planning Lead/Manager in the project
• Actively liaising with technical disciplines to create, use and maintain discipline plans
• Creating, using and maintaining equipment vendor/supplier/subcontractor plans
• Following-up requirements in Project Execution Model (PEM)
• Contributing to preparation of necessary progress reports and planning reviews across the Aker Solutions’ network to assure compliance

We think you should have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant education with more than 7 years' post graduate experience. Where highly relevant experience, shorter experience will be considered
• Experience from engineering and, preferably, vendor/supplier planning work from new-build offshore Oil & Gas topside projects and/or onshore Oil & Gas projects
• Safran planning tool experience is a plus
• Experience from studies, FEED, and/or Detail Engineering phases
• Additional experience from planning of renewables (wind, carbon capture or hydrogen) projects is seen as an advantage
• Professional spoken and written communication skills in English. Norwegian language skills are a benefit
