Vår Energi are looking for a Well Engineering Manager to join the Drilling & Wells Leadership Team who can be a driving force impacting the company by working on the way people, technology, work processes and organization work together as a system.

Vår Energi has over 50 years of experience, and 950 employees. As a Well Engineering Manager, you will work with executing detailed operational planning and construction of new wells, workovers, interventions and P&A activity. As well as being responsible for personnel leadership, people development, and talent management.

Main tasks

Drive new strategies in Drilling & Wells Well Engineering Design Division. Responsible for operationalizing continuous improvement and new ways of working including digitalization
Lead a designated Well Design Team typically consisting of 10-20 design engineers holding expertise across drilling, completion and intervention. Responsible for people development, expertise, capability and development within the team
Propose new technical solutions aimed to increase efficiency of our operations and designs
Accountable to organize peer reviews/risk reviews/D/C/IWOPs after action reviews and EOWRs
Well Design Subject Matter Expert. Responsible for Concept and Detailed Well Designs delivery to feed 1-2 rig lines. Lead supporting feasibility studies and contingent activities with design proposals. Support the development and upkeep of Business Management Systems linked to Well Engineering

Qualifications

MSc in Engineering
Indicative industry experience minimum 8-12 year surface and subsea. Proven track record of successful delivery in similar Wells role with equivalent technical and leadership dimensions.
Excellent strategic decision-making skills. Have the ability to translate short- and long-term goals into plans of action.
Excellent English and Norwegian language skills, both written and verbal
