Take a leading role at Yara to guide the next steps in our cloud journey

Yara is looking for a Cloud Hosting Architect to reinforce its Core Infrastructure department. This role will drive the work around defining and designing cloud architecture for the Yara public cloud services together with our service providers. Current cloud providers to Yara are AWS and Azure. The role will have two main focus areas:

* Support the evolution of cloud usage at Yara, and work closely with the cloud Product Owner to develop cloud-based services
* Act as an advisor to project teams on cloud-related items in order for them to realize project scope. Strong focus is needed on conceptual and design work providing the pros and cons of different options proposed in order for the project team to take correct decisions, and prepare and deliver documentation into projects.

The Cloud Architect will act in close collaboration with Architecture and with the Application Management teams for constant alignment on business requirements and take action where needed, making required changes to the in-scope services, setting up new services where there is a new need emerging, and decommissioning services when they reach the end of their lifecycle.

Yara's two main IT offices are in Oslo and Brussels. Yara is a multinational company and has a presence in 60+ countries.

The Core Infrastructure department is responsible for the qualitative delivery of all infrastructure services, and the department's portfolio contains Networks, Cloud computing, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Data Centers, Servers, Storage, Backup services, application virtualization services - and more. The department is responsible for the full lifecycle and the budget for these services.

• Develop and document Yara's cloud offering to the internal customer.
• Support cloud migration projects.
• Keep a portfolio of services relevant and up to date, together with Product Owner.
• Develop and implement prioritized roadmaps, overseeing service and product lifecycle.
• Support continual service improvement.
• Build and manage the relationship between Yara IT and the service providers & enforce the position of Yara IT as a strategic partner to the Business.
• Develop and maintain the governance structure.
• Support product owners in managing demand and stakeholders.
• Implement and be accountable for the delivery of quality services according to business requirements.
• Ensure delivery of services according to Yara security policies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in information systems, business administration, or equivalent work experience
• Self-driven professional with a technical background
• Thorough understanding of cloud (Azure and AWS) and hybrid IT concepts
• Team player attitude with the ability to motivate and lead (supplier delivery teams)
• Proactive, able to handle stress and perform under pressure
• Fast learner, able to absorb and process information quickly
• Minimal 5 years of experience as an architect in a large corporate environment
• Demonstrated experience managing relationships and engaging stakeholders, and demonstrated experience across the full project life cycle, from initiative identification through completion
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to capture and explain goals and objectives to business as well as technical leadership
• Strong analytical skills and a sound understanding of business drivers and needs
• Exposure to ITIL, Agile and/or Lean methodology are a plus
