IDI has an exciting and challenging position as strategic advisor and project manager. You will be part of a team who is dedicated to strengthening the most challenged Supreme Audit Institutions. We firmly stand by the UN ambition of leaving no one behind and seek to enable Supreme Audit Institutions to make a difference for country governance and accountability.

The job title will be Manager Capacity Development. You will not have staff responsibility or be a manager of a department in IDI but be a part of a team of project managers in IDI's Bilateral Support unit responsible for dedicated support to selected SAIs. You will also work closely with resource persons from various SAIs from around the world and regional organizations.

Key duties and responsibilities include

  • Provide guidance and training especially in strategic change management, internal governance and overall audit management. Organize and contribute to guidance and training in other areas depending on your strengths and experience. This could be in different types of audits (financial, compliance, forensic, etc.), organizational development, digitalization, human resource management, gender and inclusion policies, stakeholder engagement, communication, internal governance and implementation of a new legal framework.
  • Project management, including donor reporting, communication with stakeholders and sharing of good stories. Project management involves operating in a close collaboration with a team of partners, consultants and peers providing support
  • Contribute to IDI's advice and training of Supreme Audit Institutions in challenging contexts in general
  • Contribute to improving the methodology and quality of IDI's support to Supreme Audit Institutions in challenging contexts in general

Qualifications

  • Strong advising, training and communication skills
  • Proven track record in project management and collaboration
  • Experience with public sector
  • Fluency in English and Russian or French, both in writing and oral
  • Higher relevant education (University or College)

Experience or strong interest for developing your competencies in:

  • Strategic management and internal governance of SAIs
  • Overall audit management, including planning, reporting and quality control
  • High-level stakeholder engagement
  • Developing country context
  • Capacity development support approaches
