Senior Software Engineer / Senior Consultant

About the position

InPhase Solutions AS is looking for a senior software engineer to fill the position of Senior Consultant. At InPhase we work with many different applications of ultrasound technology, such as medical and non-medical imaging, flow measurements, corrosion surveillance, thickness measurements, wireless transfer of energy and data, material inspection, flaw detection, and classification of fish. We work with clients in various industries, and also pursue our own development projects.

Your main tasks will be software and algorithm development, specifically on projects that require higher level programming skills that exceed typical scientific programming levels. Your tasks can include the design, implementation, testing, and validation of new algorithms, as well as performance tuning and analysis, optimizing Machine Learning applications, software documentation, and software maintenance. You are expected to contribute to both customer projects and our own development projects. Depending on the project, we work both in teams (within InPhase and/or with the customer/partner) and individually. This means that you should be autonomous and self-driven, but also able to collaborate with other team members. Some projects may require travel, mostly in Norway, but occasionally also abroad.

You will be working from our office at Hornebergveien 7A in Fossegrenda, Trondheim.

Who are we looking for?

Candidates should:

• Have an MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybernetics, or a related technical field
• Have relevant work experience
• Be enthusiastic and independent
• Have good C++ programming skills
• Have good communication and documentation habits

Candidates would preferably also have experience with:

• Qt and QML
• GPU programming (CUDA or OpenCL)
• Algorithm development and AI fundamentals
• Deep Learning Frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras)
• Python
• Matlab
