SENIOR FIRMWARE DESIGN ENGINEER

We are seeking a Senior Firmware Design Engineer that will be involved in the design, development, and verification of advanced CMOS image sensors. Indeed, the Senior Firmware Design Engineer will be part of an international team that works on Research & Development and Design for Sony Automotive CMOS Image Sensors.

You will focus on embedded firmware design, development, and verification for ASIC devices, writing low level coding in C language for ARM CPUs. You will be a hands-on contributor who will also take full responsibility for his/her own tasks and collaborate with the Firmware Team to deliver the products on time.

You are a brilliant and experienced Firmware Engineer who works cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives, and partners with others to get work done, gaining trust and support. You seek to understand different perspectives and cultures, you show personal commitment and act to continuously improve. You accept and look for assignments that broaden capabilities. You like learning from new experiences, from others, and in R&D activities as well as product designing projects.

You will contribute to:

• Designing Firmware for CMOS image sensors used in ADAS systems
• Development and Verification of hard real-time firmware on CMOS sensors
• Support various internal and external stakeholders, and collaborate with the other teams

You will have:

• MSc Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related
• 6+ years of experience in silicon or related industry
• Significant experience in low level C programming, and in firmware design, development and verification
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Knowledge [Hard] Real Time Systems and RTOS
• Debugging & fault-finding techniques
• Linux command line skills and knowledge in scripting (Python) languages is a plus
• Verification of embedded systems with FPGA

• Image sensor design
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD techniques in embedded development.
• (Embedded) Security
• ISO26262 standard
• ASPICE wrkflow
• Experience working with digital design engineers.
• Experience developing software tools/architecture
