ARENDAL INTERNATONAL SCHOOL - LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED TEACHERS

Arendal International School (AIS) is authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IB) to deliver the Primary and Middle Years Programmes. AIS has seen significant growth in its student body in recent years. We are a single-form entry international school with more than 200 students. Our student body in both programmes consists of students of over 50 nationalities. The staff is an experienced and stable group from more than 20 different nationalities. 

AIS is a school in growth that strives to follow the IB Philosophy at every level of our school. Our teachers are a key part in the implementation of the curriculum for the maximum benefit of our students and are our role models of the IB Learner Profile. 

We are seeking to appoint teachers to support our students’ development in the Primary Years Programme through academic and socio-emotional challenges in a supportive environment. The successful candidates will possess a permanent 100% position and be expected to be an integrated part of the staff. 

We are looking for teachers who:

• Hold degrees in education
• Have PYP experience 
• Are interested in developing a real-life connected curriculum 
• Communicate well in written and oral English
• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in an international school, IB training is preferable 
• Are able to differentiate the learning within a diverse classroom
• Actively collaborate and share ideas 
• Are proactive and flexible thinkers
• Deliver the curriculum energetically and with dedication
• Work creatively with available materials/ resources 
• Possess advanced IT skills
