The Strategy Analyst position

In this role, you will work with the development, support and performance monitoring of our operational processes, and help refine our strategy with data-driven insights. You will be our local data-expert to support new portfolio acquisition. To achieve this, you will build a robust understanding our business models and processes. The performance of those processes will be monitored by the use of KPIs that you pull, report, monitor and suggest improvements from.

The role includes the following tasks:

Performance Analytics

  • KPIs Monitoring by segment
  • Cash Collection Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Automation of reports
  • Deep-dives & Portfolio Analysis

Acquisition Analytics

  • Vintages comparison and analysis
  • Forecast of contracts attrition and OPEX
  • Files import and quality controls
  • Valuation and Book-on support

Operational Analytics

  • Strategy performance review and presentation
  • Target groups filtering and prioritization logic ownership
  • A/B setups, offers testing and optimization
  • Data scraping, Risk Assessment and Compliance reporting

This work is done in parallel in all countries for the Nordics, so there is a high potential for alignments, cross-synergies and best-practice sharing.

 

The team

You will be part of Nordic Analytics & Operational Strategy (aka. NAOS) in Oslo. The Team consists of 7 people present in Oslo, Stockholm and Helsinki, although it receives support from the rest of the European entities, especially in strong collaboration with the UK. This international environment brings high value to personal development and career opportunities. Our team is responsible for finding the optimal way of driving cash collection, in the best respect of our customers’ needs and integrity.

We are driving processes covering the whole lifespan of the defaulted loans, including digital onboarding, online payment plans, phone calls, and legal procedures. We also support the Valuation team with insights in order to assess the contents and potentials of any new portfolio we wish to acquire. Finally, we run analyses to understand historical recoveries by segments to improve our ways of working, monitor performance, budget future results and to build our strategy accordingly.

 

Who are we looking for?

For this role, we attach a strong importance to your business interest and personal qualities. The ideal candidate should have professional experience from a relevant field of activity. We are also looking for someone who will fit in well within the team, sharing ideas and offering help when needed. We believe it is important that you are self-driven and take initiatives to challenge the existing processes to succeed in this role.

We are also looking for:

  • Academic degree in technology, economics and/or statistics
  • Knowledge about NOVA is a competitive advantage
  • Coding skills in SQL (SAS, Python, R or any DB / stats language)
  • Reporting skills in Power BI (Tableau or similar also nice to have)
  • Solid know-how in Excel (VBA for automation is a plus)
  • Good presentation skills (clear, concise and meaningful)
  • Fluent in English and proficient in Norwegian, spoken and written
  • Capable of multi-tasking by being organized and by prioritizing
  • Attentive to good and timely deliveries
