Roughly 60% of global primary energy consumption is lost as waste heat. This represents a huge energy recovery potential: Transforming waste heat into useful energy could contribute to a smaller carbon footprint – and at the same time reduce the cost of useful energy.
Thermoelectric materials are a class of advanced materials producing electricity directly from heat. TEGMA develops systems for thermoelectric applications.
TEGma is scaling up and needs do strengthen our team with a Product Development Engineer.

TEGma’s technology is based on thermoelectricity, a technology first developed for use in space applications. TEGma has optimized the technology for terrestrial applications and has integrated the novel thermoelectric materials into complete turn-key systems with a simple interface with the source of waste heat.

TEGma has delivered several full-scale TEG systems to its customers, mostly in the marine industry. The company is currently ramping up its capacity to meet growing market demand and are looking for a Product Development Engineer.
We are now seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development including multidiscipline calculations of areas like flow, thermal and electrical.

Responsibilities:

Dimensioning of products from concept to production
Calculations of effect on TEGmas delivery to each client in Mathcad or COMSOL
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, design, and marketing
Further development and standardization of calculation/modeling tools for the dimensioning of both a Thermoelectric Power Unit (TEPU) and a Thermoelectric Heat Pump (TEHP)
Actively work with system development
Develop TEGma's capacity and expertise to carry out high-quality projects

Requirements:

Master or PhD Degree in Physics with strong results
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or R&D
Experience with multidiscipline calculations and modeling
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
