Are you a skilled Process Engineer?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join SLB’s engineering team based in our offices in Trondheim.

Our team designs, engineers and fabricates oil, gas, water and solids processing equipment packages. These packages vary in size and complexity from single train vessels to multi deck 3000t modules for both onshore and offshore facilities.

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer with separation experience, with a high level of competence and awareness related to oil and gas processing. SLB’s separation technology and patents are world leading and as Senior Process Engineer you will act as lead on small to large and complex/critical tenders/projects taking full ownership of all process engineering activities. You will be responsible for leading, undertaking and delegating/managing engineering activities and deliverables within the team. You will work closely with the Process Technology Teams, Project Engineering Manager, Sales and other project support functions to execute the project in accordance with the specified requirement and Client expectations.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to:

• Find innovative solutions to solve the client needs utilizing the SLB portfolio for processing and separation equipment.
• Evaluate customer inquiries and specifications in support of the proposal team to determine the best process or equipment design for the application. Includes determining the required scope of work to be provided and developing the best strategy to win the technical proposal.
• Design and present tailor-made equipment that meet the client specifications and expectations using SLB defined software and design tools.
• Creation of sales /process feed/project deliverables in accordance with the SLB and Client requirements.
• Create / review / comment on complex PFDs and P&IDs.
• Supporting Sales and Projects, providing technical presentations and being the focal point for technical discussions.
• Produce training materials and run training sessions.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting.
• Participate in the R&D and sustaining of the product and technologies.
• Effectively lead process designs during quotation and project execution.
• Lead studies, such as field development studies, R&D studies and debottlenecking studies, involving both analytic evaluation, simulations through HYSYS/CFD/FEA and lab activities.

Required background:

• 5-10 years with relevant experience
• A degree within process engineering, fluids dynamics or other relevant education
• Oil and gas experience
• Norwegian and English, written and spoken

• Residence in Trøndelag

• CFD and FES software
• HYSYS
• Labview
