About the Unit

Yara Industrial Solutions (YIS) is an autonomous business area within Yara International, with the business units Transport Reagents, Mining Applications, and Base Chemicals. The Brunsbüttel, Le Havre, Köping, Cubatão, Malaysia, and Durban production sites are also incorporated in YIS. AdBlue® is a diesel exhaust fluid used in vehicles with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to reduce harmful gases being released into the atmosphere. The technology is used across segments from passenger cars over heavy-duty trucks to off-road, agriculture, and construction equipment. BU Transport Reagents is the leading supplier of AdBlue® in the Norwegian market, where we operate an important terminal next to a widespread distribution network that covers the country from north to south.

About the Role

Transport Reagents Business Unit is looking for a Business Manager responsible for its AdBlue®/Air1 sales activities in Norway.
The Norwegian market is considered a key market from a business perspective, and in your role, you will contribute to the Business unit and Yara Industrial reaching its targets. You will contribute to a better society at large when providing the AdBlue® that is necessary to remove NOx from the diesel-powered trucks, cars, and machinery that is essential to make modern society function.
The position reports to the Regional Director Nordics and it is a member of the Nordic team. The successful candidate will be based in our HQ in Oslo, Norway


  • You will lead and coach a commercial team (currently two employees) in line with the Yara people policies and processes.
  • You will be responsible for Business planning as well as the P&L of Transport Reagents Business Norway.
  • Your role will involve regular analysis of the customer portfolio on profitability and optimization of pricing strategy and cost to serve.
  • You will design and implement a tactical sales plan, in line with the Business Unit's strategic guidelines, expands the company's customer base, and ensure its continued efficient presence.
  • Actively develop both new accounts and renegotiate existing contracts.
  • Translate HESQ as well as Yara Code of Conduct procedures and policies and incorporate them into daily operations
  • In close cooperation with our service center in Vilnius and the Nordic operations and procurement team, you will have a great focus on Supply Chain efficiency and all potential productivity gains.

You have:

* A minimum of five years of proven successful commercial and people management experience.
* Insight into the fuel/automotive chemicals distribution and/or transport industry is a plus. Experience in contracting and sales of consumables is an asset.
* Leadership and management skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Importantly, you are willing to learn more about the business and find a way to develop it further. You are:

* Business and result-oriented with a commercial approach and in-depth understanding of customer and market dynamics
* Able to work under pressure, prioritize and keep focus in a diverse international corporate environment
* A fluent Norwegian speaker and you have a driving license
* Able and willing to travel, mostly in Norway. We offer a flexible working environment as much as possible but do expect some level of travel.
