As our new Proposals Manager you will be key in ensuring that we stay ahead of the game and your role will be to help grow our market share by supporting our commercial efforts.

 We are based on the waterfront on Hisøy, just outside Arendal. We have a strong group of individuals making up our Business Development Department and you will join this team of 10 people.  You will take a key role by leading the process from receipt of a formal calls for tender or from receipt of budget proposal requests from clients. You will be leading the internal team and making sure all the necessary information is gathered, organized and presented in a compelling way that wins new business. As part of this, your responsibilities included:

• Being the point of contact for proposal requests from clients.
• Coordinating with the Operations and Discipline Managers to secure the necessary resources for proposal preparation, including engineering, cost, and schedule output.
• Gathering cost inputs based on scope of supply matrix from various internal teams, verifying them, and challenging Department Managers as needed.
• Ensuring all documents are of high quality and meet client and company standards.
• Maintaining and ensuring the quality of the information is stored correctly.
• Support the Area Sales Managers in early stage indicative/pre-budget work.

To succeed in the role you will need a strong understanding of offshore technology, including in engineering, procurement, construction and installation contracts. An educational background in engineering or business, as well as experience in engineering or project management is required.

 As a person you have strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate and manage negotiations in a solution-oriented manner. You will have the ability turn problems and challenges into solutions. You will use your interpersonal and communications skills in English on a daily basis.
