Full Stack Engineer in an exciting AgTech company with enormous ambitions for international growth!

Nofence is currently the global leader within virtual fencing with 50,000 active collars in 4+ markets. Our current milestone is to be the first company in the world to reach 1,000,000 active collars, disrupting how farming is done across the world.

About the Role

You will design and build new features for our external and internal customers, work on our core products, and make sure all of our systems are well integrated and cloud scalable. The aim is to reach a scalable zero touch customer interaction.

We’re looking for individuals who enjoy a wide range of tasks, from infrastructure to frontend, and although we’re focusing on Django, Python and Postgres going forward, we support existing systems built on Node.JS, MongoDB and React. We deploy and run our software on AWS through CI/CD pipelines.

Your team will be cross functional with a strong sense of autonomy. You will work with Product Managers, UX designers, App Developers and other Full Stack engineers. You’re expected to contribute and help shape our technology future.

Main Responsibilities

• Scale our backend to support millions of IoT devices.
• Automate and scale our internal systems to support our business value chain, including sales, support, billing, logistics and inventory.
• Cloud infrastructure, deployment and security.
• Systems integration, our systems must talk together.
• API and web development.

Experience and qualifications

• Python and Django experience is desired.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure.
• Enjoy working in an autonomous cross-functional team.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Comfortable working in an English speaking work environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Our Product & Engineering team consists of engineers with a wide range of skills. We design and develop the mechanics of our physical product and the electronics that goes into it. We develop the firmware that runs on the device, and the cloud service it communicates with. We design and develop the mobile and web apps that our customers use. We are also responsible for the development of many internal applications and tools that keep our business humming. In short, there’s a lot of exciting work to be done!
