Position Summary
PGS is looking for a Platform Architect to strengthen its Enterprise Architecture team. As part of our modernisation and digitalisation efforts we are transitioning to a cloud first mindset and adopting Agile principles. Please come join us if you want to help design and implement innovative and modern solutions for our internal IT platform.
Main Tasks
- Provide technical expertise, design, and architecture for PGS IT and HPC platform (Onshore/Offshore and Cloud)
- Assist EIT and R&D teams with technical implementation
- Guide PGS platforms cloud transition
- Participate to the creation of PGS common IT platform by the integration of existing systems
- Facilitate the transition to DevOps and Agile practices
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend hardware and software technologies that will help develop PGS platforms.
Required qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Cloud platform architecture (GCP - ACE/PCA certifications welcome).
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE - CKAD/CKA certifications welcome).
- Infrastructure and configuration as code (Terraform/Ansible).
- Microservices ecosystem architecture (Service discovery/Service mesh/Secret management - Hashicorp stack experience welcome)
- Microservices and API design (REST/gRPC).
- Agile software development practices (DevOps/GitOps).
- Linux system administration (RHEL/Rocky/Ubuntu).
- Python/GO/Rust/C/C++ programming or similar experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Windows environment administration (Windows server/Azure).
- Web development familiarity (JavaScript/React)
- Relational databases administration (MySQL/Postgres/Oracle/MSSQL).
