Norwegian Subsea is a leading manufacturer of high-performance Motion Reference Units (MRU) and motion sensors for marine, subsea, and offshore wind energy applications.

Our flagship product is a motion sensor that measures motion in 6 degrees of freedom, with corresponding velocities and accelerations. This sensor finds applications in various areas, such as Active Heave Compensation (AHC). It is commonly used in ships or vessels transporting cargo, where our sensors are employed to measure the vessel's motion.

Production Technician
We are looking for a skilled and experienced production technician that will be responsible for the production (assembly and testing) of our MRUs and accessories.
We are a small, but quickly growing company, so this position is very versatile and covers many areas of expertise. If you are a jack of all trades with expertise in electromechanical manufacturing and assembly, interested in technology and like to learn new skills, please contact us for more information.
Goal
To improve and streamline the production of MRUs and cables to make sure customers get deliveries in time with top quality.
Areas of responsibility
- Assembly of MRUs and accessories
- Calibration of MRUs
- Repair of products
- Quality check of products
- Maintain inventory of components
Typical work tasks
- Assemble, calibrate and test our MRUs and accessories.
- Pack and ship products to customers
- Repair products and re-calibrate MRUs
- Maintain component inventory
- Assist development team with prototyping (soldering, make custom cables, 3D printing, etc.)
Experience from building models or products with small parts is appreciated. The building of MRUs requires working with very small screws and fasteners, so the applicant must have good eyesight and hand dexterity.
Who are we looking for?
Desired education / background
- Fagbrev in manufacturing engineering (produksjonsteknikk) or other relevant fields
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience from the electronic manufacturing industry
Desired areas of expertise
- Electromechanical assembly
- Industrial cables and connectors
- Casings (aluminum and titanium)
- Fasteners and materials (screws, bolts etc.)
- Soldering
- Robots
- Sensors
- It is desirable if the applicant has experience with soldering and cable assembly for prototyping.
