Process metallurgist

For our plant in Porsgrunn we are currently seeking process metallurg with experience from the industry. Our new process metallurg will be part of the process team, responsible for maintaining a high level of process control in our furnaces and refining units. The role will also contribute in our continuous process development in close cooperation with the process- and R&D-groups in Norway and internationally.

Arbeidsoppgaver

• Daily follow- up of operations and compliance with our health, safety, environment and energy standards
• Operational analysis
• Improve the metallurgical processes
• Lead and participate in improvement projects at the plant
• Participate in local and international R&D projects
• This position requires standby duties/availability some weekdays/weekends. Som travelling is expected

Kvalifikasjoner

• Master`s degree in metallurgy or chemistry/ process engineering
• 3- 5 of experience from the process industry
  
• We also welcome applications from candidates with a Bachelor`s degree and long- term experience from the industry
• Desirable with experience and knowledge in improvement methodology (LEAN)
