SINTEF Manufacturing's Department of Industrial Ecosystems is a leading European research environment on product development, production management, lean, digitalization and sustainability. The Digital Manufacturing research group supports a diverse range of industrial sectors with research and innovation on next generation production and operations management systems. The group is growing rapidly with an extensive project portfolio of national and international projects in various domains such as cyber physical production systems, digital lean manufacturing, industrial smart working, and zero defect manufacturing. Our aim is to extend the group with a dedicated researcher who will contribute towards the development of new solutions based on the industrial internet of things, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, simulation, and digital twins.

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates with a solid analytical and technical background, educated at university level (MSc or PhD). Experience with data science, software programming (e.g., C++ / Python), and manufacturing simulation (e.g., FlexSim) from industry or research is also an advantage. Your Responsibilities

Our projects are primarily directed towards industry and its challenges with current and future digital transformation processes. Our researchers initiate and carry out projects in close cooperation with our customers and partners to solve contemporary problems, as well as contributing towards the dissemination of research results in scientific and popular scientific publications.

Workplace for the position is Kongsberg, but Raufoss or Trondheim may also be relevant. Working language is Norwegian. You must also be fluent in English
