As our new analyst, you will be part of the 1st Line Credit unit in Norway; the team is anchored in Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I) supporting the Large Corporate Banking clients in Norway. You will join a Nordic team with over 25 professionals, eight of whom are located in Norway. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team.

The 1st Line Credit unit is responsible for credit analysis for the existing corporate book as well as for prospects, securing an acceptable risk profile. The work includes examining clients with migrating credit profiles, making sure early warnings are mitigated. The portfolio that you will cover will primarily be the Large Corporates and Shipping / Offshore client portfolios. In your work, you will also be responsible for examining the risks in committing to large-scale transactions, like M&A as well as underwritings. You will naturally work with the Senior Bankers / Relationship Managers, and all product areas where the bank takes on risk. Part of the role includes an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) analysis of the client.

You will prepare and present your credit analysis to Danske Bank’s various decision-making authorities in a structured and intuitive way. To do well in this role, you need to be able to comprehend complex information, extract the substantial parts, and present your findings and recommendation in a clear and concise way, both verbally and in writing. This will enable decision makers to make fast and well-founded decisions for the benefit of our clients. You will work closely together with the relationship teams, as well as have extensive dialogue with 2nd Line Credit, who is responsible for credit framework and for endorsing 1st Line Credits applications.

To be effective in this role, you need to have a customer-oriented profile with sharp investigative skills and a sense for details. We are also looking for candidates with a good sense of responsibility as well as a balanced approach to work. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest as well as knowledge about credit risks including structuring and cash flow analysis. Ideally, you have a minimum of two years relevant experience from credit-related work. A good understanding of the business and the market including knowledge about the risk/reward will be viewed positively. You are interested in the industry, and you pay attention to trends in the market. We are also expecting knowledge of the bank’s credit products. The candidate we are looking for have a higher education. A master’s degree or a few years of relevant work experience will be beneficial. You will also need a well-rounded knowledge of Microsoft Office.
