Job Description


We are looking for a visionary VP to lead the process control area in Statkraft. You will have the opportunity to set direction and build a global function for process control and lead a highly competent team.

This is a great opportunity to take a central role in an exciting renewable company with a high growth strategy – including development projects, operation and management of process control assets, including protection & control systems, communication network and remote control. You will collaborate with key power production disciplines (Technical, Operation, Production, Maintenance, Projects) 

The VP Process Control will lead and develop the unit to provide group-wide governance for process control of Statkraft’s assets, and the delivery of process control as a group service for Hydropower, Solar, and Wind.

This includes:

  • Set strategic direction within process control for Statkraft and develop and lead the unit accordingly 
  • Lead and develop the process control group function in close collaboration with IT
  • Ensure efficient, robust and secure operation and management of all process control assets in Statkraft
  • Deliver strong discipline governance, i.e. both clear guidance and follow-up of its implementation in Nordics, Europe, South America and India
  • Contribute to the strategic development of O&M Technology and Process, as a member of the O&M Technology and Process management team
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of employees 
  • Develop the organisation to deliver on business priorities and ensure collaboration with other units



Qualifications

  • Higher relevant education within either automation, cybernetics, or electro  
  • Experience from a similar position preferably in a large or medium-sized international organisation 
  • Solid experience from governance and/or asset management role  
  • Solid operational experience and understanding  
  • Deep insight in core business processes, such as Energy Management and Operation & Maintenance, is preferable  
  • Strategic and visionary mindset
  • Ability to build trust and empowerment within a unit and in a distributed organisation  
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Fluent in both English and Norwegian

Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must be eligible for security clearance and authorization.
