The Nordic Accelerator is a new unit established to find, nail and scale tomorrow's winning marketplace models, to create a more sustainable future. In Schibsted we have more than two decades of experience within both marketplaces and venture building, and now we are taking the step to combine our world-class marketplace assets and people with the right venture mindset, funding and mandates. While the core businesses work on sustaining innovation, the Nordic Accelerator works across verticals and with new business areas, driven by disruptive innovation.

We aim to deliver more than NOK 1Bn topline by the end of 2025 within areas of strategic importance to the verticals and not the least large sustainability impact. Our starting point is a small portfolio of proven businesses including Qasa and Nettbil, emerging businesses as Honk and Gen-Z fashion marketplace Plick, and we have funding and a team to explore and build new businesses from ideation to “exit”.

We are >200 people across the portfolio of companies, but like other accelerators and venture building teams, we have a small “NMP core” of >25 people steering execution and scaling, and working closely with the verticals to bring in domain expertise and synergies from our brands and customers.


The goal is to be the preferred partner to accelerate growth of marketplaces in the Nordics.


What you will be up to:

  • Find, develop and nurture relationships with partners and suppliers who can contribute to the development of businesses

  • Own and run the partner and supplier selection process and ensure that we offer value during the scaling phase and long term

  • Continuously look for business opportunities, and drive these opportunities.

  • Ensure that the products we are scaling are attractive to professional customers

  • Bring potential professional customers into scaling at an early phase, tests value propositions and business models to ensure market fit

  • Provide support to businesses regarding their Go-to-Market strategies, processes and procedures for new products. Ensure the sales force is insight and data driven,

  • Act as the go-to-person and trusted advisor for all questions and topics on strategic relations and Go-to-Market activities

  • Establish the Nordic Accelerator as a preferred partner for startups


Skills:

  • Commercial mindset

  • Flexible and can quickly adapt to new challenges

  • Strong relationship builder

  • Ability to work independently


Experience:

  • Experience from key account management, sales lead or similar roles

  • Minimum 7 years experience from sales

  • Track record of driving and/or supporting sales teams to exceed their targets

  • Experience with presenting, engaging, and interacting with Senior leadership

  • Likes taking the advisor role for new companies

  • Hands-on experience working with partners and customers

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills both in English and a Nordic language
