About us
Group Risk management (GRM) has overall responsibility for a sound and effective second-line defense for risk management. As a second line, we are an independent control function and report on the risk situation to the CEO and the Board of Directors. GRM advises, monitors and reports on financial and operational risk to ensure that all significant risks in the DNB Group are identified, measured and reported by the relevant units.

The sections main tasks is to manage and develop DNB's Risk Appetite framework. Risk Appetite framework defines DNB's overall Risk Appetite for risk, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, and climate risk. In addition to Risk Appetite, the section is responsible for maintaining and develop DNB's Recovery plan as well as corporate with the Norwegian Resolution authorities to increase the effectiveness of the Norwegian Resolution authority's resolution plan for DNB.

Section Risk Appetite Recovery & Resolution is now looking for a Resolution Officer
The Resolution Officer will support Bank Resolution Experts in the preparation of the resolution plans of credit institutions and will be involved in potential resolution schemes as well as contribute to the development of the internal policy on resolution matters. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary resolution teams headed by Heads of Risk Appetite, Recovery and Resolution planning. You will be providing advice to senior colleagues with a service-oriented attitude and can-do approach.

The Bank Resolution Officer's duties will include:

  • Supporting Bank Resolution Experts, in cooperation with National Resolution Authorities, in designing of resolution plans, the development of resolution strategies based on analysing bank legal and operational structures, the identification of critical services and functions and the analysis of bank capital and funding structures.
  • Performing research and supporting DNB's internal Bank Resolution Experts in assessing the extent to which credit institutions are resolvable, identifying barriers to their resolvability and, where necessary, devising an action plan to address any such barriers.
  • Supporting Resolution Experts in determining the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities (MREL) that would be subject to write down and conversion ("bailin") powers that credit institutions will be required to maintain.
  • Supporting in drafting decisions relating to resolution schemes.
  • Contributing to the definition of internal and external policy stances of DNB on resolution matters.

What knowledge and skills are we looking for?

  • You have a Master degree or a post-graduate degree in economics, law, business administration, finance or another field relevant to the job.
  • You have knowledge of the European Banking Union, and in particular the Single Resolution Mechanism and Single Resolution Board.
  • You have knowledge of the banking sector and understanding of financial sector's business models and/or capital markets.
  • You have experience in either financial industry or in a supervisory or regulatory environment.
  • You have experience in project management and/or project support with and ability to deliver quality and results.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You have excellent written and oral communications skills
  • You are customer-oriented and have a "team-work-spirit"
